Express Entry
Effective January 2015, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) launched “Express Entry”. This new electronic system allows IRCC to manage permanent residence applications for certain economic immigration programs.
The Express Entry system helps IRCC recruit, assess and select skilled immigrants based on current labour market needs under the following federal economic immigration programs:
The Federal Skilled Worker Program
The Federal Skilled Trades Program
The Canadian Experience Class
And in some cases a Provincial Nominee Program
